Klaus Georg Schmitz is Chief Investment Officer Europe and CEO UK at Edmond de Rothschild Real Estate Investment Management, where he leads the firm's pan-European investment strategy, capital deployment and relationships with institutional partners across key markets.
Klaus brings over 20 years of experience in real estate private equity, capital markets and cross-border transactions. He joined Edmond de Rothschild from Ares Management, where he was a Managing Director focused on the DACH region.
He previously served as Executive Chairman and CEO of Peach Property Group, a Swiss-listed residential platform with 27,500 apartments in Germany, €2.5 billion of gross asset value and 230 employees, and held earlier roles at Starwood Capital Group, Rothschild & Co and PIMCO.
